They burn the unsold items so they dont gotta pay taxes on all the stock. Every bussiness has to pay taxes on ebery item they own that ks considered stock that is gor sale but has nlt sold yet cause it's considered a asset by the irs. Like my custom golf cart shop I own. All the parts i keep in stock that are commonly used ebery day for building custom golf carts I gotta pay taxes for every single item in my shop. On the sales floor and all the used carts that we use for used parts for the used carts we build as well. We do new carts and customize them and sell jsed carts and customize them for customers. The used carts the customer gets to pick what color they want the body painted and rims and tires and seat color cause that all comes with the price of the used cart for 3200 dollars so they get a freshly painted cart that is tore down to bare frame and rebuilt from ground up.
